Computer Science

The Department provides state of the art computing facilities to the students. It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest. The department has qualified and experienced faculty members in the areas of Computer Architecture, Database Systems, Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Computer Networks, and Software Engineering. The department aims to create computer engineers who can make a mark in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit design. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger pictures. Usual tasks involving computer engineers include writing software and firmware for embedded, designing VLSI chips, designing analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards, and designing operating systems.

Computer Lab

The Computer Labs are artistically and ergonomically designed, where students get an opportunity to develop their skills according to the global needs and international standards. It has high-end computing and network resources for the academic and research programs. The students and staff have access to software tools and systems to execute real-life projects. The institute strives to make learning more creative, interactive and information driven by using sophisticated computer techniques. The Centre would offer training and software development apart from being a support service for the faculty, students and staff. The computer laboratories across the campus houses more than hundred computers for use of students and staff. The labs are set to create specialist environment required for students of Engine`ering. Computer Centre supports Core 2 Duo Nodes and High End Servers connected through latest switches. Internet and Intranet network facilities are supported by high quality software based on curriculum and global requirements, along with latest operating systems, allowing the students not only to develop their skills but also access the internet for convenient internal as well as external communication with the cyber world. Other peripherals such as Laser and Dot Matrix printers, Scanners etc. also support the needs of the users. The institute is also a member of Microsoft Academic Alliance, which would support the institute to receive all the licensed software products of the Microsoft.
